Born in Seongnam, Gyeonggi, South Korea, on August 29, 1992, Hwang Ui Jo is a 1.85 cm tall professional footballer who currently plays as a forward for Ligue 1 club Bordeaux based at Chaban Delmas Stadium, France, and South Korean National Team member.

Seongnam Ilhwa Chunma picked Hwang Ui Jo in the K League 1 Draft in 2013, and he scored his first goal against Suwon Samsung Bluewings. After that, he scored 15 goals in K League 1 in 2015 and started to play for the South Korean national team.
