KMazing – Pop Music production house will adapt the Korean drama Crash Landing on You into a musical version. The production house is in the process of selecting casts who will be involved in the project.

Quoting from Soompi, the expansion of the Korean drama Crash Landing on You into a musical act was the result of a collaboration between Pop Music and T2N Media with Studio Dragon, which holds the drama’s global publication rights.

“After making a deal with Studio Dragon (the production house that worked on the drama Crash Landing On You), we plan to start looking for the main cast and start the casting process. We will give our best in order to create a good project, ” said Pop Music CEO Kim Jin Seok, as reported by Soompi.

From this agreement, it is known that the musical action Crash Landing On You will be taking the center of the stage starting in mid-2022 in Seoul, South Korea.

During its broadcast in 2019, the romance k-drama managed to score the highest rating in tvN history with an average national rating of 21.7 percent with a peak of 24.1 percent.

Apart from airing on the tvN channel, the globally popular drama also airs worldwide through Netflix platform. The drama that director Lee Jung-Hyo directed aired for 16 episodes and was and still a global phenomenon.

Synopsis of Crash Landing on You

Crash Landing on You is a South Korean drama that tells the story of a wealthy woman from South Korea named Yoon Se Ri, played by Son Ye Jin. During her paragliding session, she got lost and suddenly stuck on an emergency landing in North Korea.

During the confusing times, Yoon Se Ri meets one of North Korea’s military elite named Ri Jung Hyuk, played by Hyun Bin. While the start of their forced relationship was shaky, the two got on superbly wee on a love journey full of intrigue and drama.
