Enjoy!
Season 1 Episode 1 – Winter is Coming
This is undeniably going on our list. The very first episode of the series that lay the foundation of the stories and start the hype. I love every single interaction and scene from this episode but one of the best moments of the Game of Thrones series on the first season is when Bran found Jamie and Cersei in the tower doing *ehm*. In this season it is synonymous with the phrase “The Things I Do for Love”, when Jamie Lannister cheated with Cersei Lannister and pushes Bran from the tower window.

Season 1 Episode 9 – Baelor
Sean Bean, the cast of Ned Stark is forced to be killed for defending the truth and rejecting the change of the new regime which in his opinion is wrong. Ned Stark is known as one of the heroes in this series and this scene became one of the best moments throughout the season even until now, this is the start of political change and conception view from the series.

Season 1 Episode 10 – Fire and Blood
Well, this episode is also one of the favorite from the first seasons! The scene where Daenerys burns the corpse of her husband, Khal Drogo, and finds the dragon egg that hatches and becomes a little dragon. Since then, Daenerys has been named ‘The mother of the Dragon’!. The way the first season end is beautiful in the way the plot is being turned from the power struggle in King’s Landing toward another protagonist.

Season 2 Episode 9 – Blackwater
“Blackwater” is very worthy to get into this list. One of the biggest episodes in the Game of Thrones series, and the most expensive one. This episode generally only tells how Stanis’s attack on King’s Landing. in this episode we’ll see the coward side of King Joffrey until then Tyrion Lannister takes command and is unexpectedly able to provide a deadly shock toward Stannis’s fleet.

Season 3 Episode 9 – The Rains of Castamere
This is the most tragic one, This is the darkest and saddest episode of the entire episode in the Game of Thrones series. Much more poignant than the scene of the beheading of Ned Stark in S 1 eps 9. This is the episode where the Stark clan was wiped out without compassion on the wedding day which became known as Red Wedding. The Frey clan and some traitors have crafted a foul plan behind the intentions of the celebration of the marriage. TBH The pain can not be gone until now.
Season 4 Episode 2 – The Lion and the Rose
This is the episode where Joffery and Margaery’s marriage takes place. However, in this episode separation between Tyrion and Shae is also happening. The Wedding wrapped in shades of purple color managed to make spectators amazed over the scenery background of the wedding venue. Still, the end of the episode made the audience startled with joy like the other episodes. This is probably one of the most relaxing episodes of Game of Thrones to watch. Eventually justice came. It was very satisfying to see King Joffrey lying helpless on his own wedding day.
Season 4 Episode 6 – The Laws of God and Men
This episode focuses on the Tyrion trial. His anger is all our anger, I think we can all agree on that. The expression on the trial won him an award, his performance is dragging through the plot and building the perfect trial and sentence vibe towards the series. Of course at that time it’s still unknown who was the mastermind behind the death of Joffrey but all in all the episode characterized human empathy toward Tyrion, which is super great.
Season 4 Episode 8 – The Mountain and The Viper
We really understand that Game of Thrones is a story that is love to drown fans’ expectations, in the sense that we are very often gawked with the reality that confronted us with stories that often turn sharp, favorite characters who suddenly died. That’s the cool part in watching Game of Thrones. This episode once again able to deceive us the fans just when the hope of the emergence of justice began to blaze, then we got slapped very hard with the scene of the death of Oberyn Martel who actually was on the wind during the duel with Ser Gregor. Frustrating.
Season 4 Episode 10 – The Children
This episode has a lot of layered surprises, mixed feelings and there are many “hanging” scenes that force us to wait feverishly until the 5th season comes out. During this episode we see many stories that will change the main plot of the Game of Thrones in the future, there is a heartbreaking story between Daenarys with her the two Dragon, then we also see the saddest period of a The Hound, until finally the story of Tyrion with extraordinary killing two people who betrayed him. and Varys who veered sharply with their new adventure on the Continent.
Season 5 Episode 8 – Hardhome
This Hardhome episode is the best episode before the appearance of two extraordinary episodes in season 6. The tension, it’shorror and the chill is felt when Jon Snow confronts the Four Horsemen with his death squad. In this episode also began to give an overview of the journey of Arya Stark, Sansa, Theon, and Cersei. Daenarys and Tyrion began to talk about what their next battle would be like. This episode for me is the cornerstone of the turn of the series toward the new main plot which is super cooly crafted.
Season 5 Episode 9 – The Dance of Dragons
As usual episode 9 of the series is showing significant of point and sometimes the zenith of the season. This episode tells of a meeting between Jamie and Doran Martell. In addition, Stannis was faced with a heavy choice on his own. Feel the tension, the sadness, and the surprises in this episode! Surely you will feel goosebumps and more can not wait for the the continuation of the story. This episode also served the new foundation between Daenerys and her dragon, which explicitly shown in the title.
Season 5 Episode 10 – Mother’s Mercy
Episode 10 features Dany surrounded by unknown people. While Cersei is in a state of asking for forgiveness. On the other hand, Jon is being challenged by his Nightwatch member. If you watch this episode out, the ending of a the series is super crazy, I cannot really trapped any measure of the story and is sure to make you shook your head or if you are a fansof Jon Snow, you will shout hysterically because of it.
Season 6 Episode 4 – Book of Stranger
Now entering the fourth episode of this series, Book of the Stranger provide one of the best moments of the Game of Thrones as well! In this season Jon Snow finally reunited with Sansa after five seasons separated. Things also turns toward the conflict which inflicted between Jon Snow and his objective of getting ready for the real winter. The moment of which the meeting between two Wolf is quite emotional TBH, since the plot of the story in the series didn’t really favor the clan from the north.
Season 6 Episode 5 – The Door
An episode that explains the struggle and past of Hodor. In this episode we also know the beginning of the creation of White Walkers. Euron Greyjoy who had come from then plowed up the Iron Islands revival, and the red priest Meereen finally realized that Daenerys Targaryen was probably the figure promised by Lord of Light (not Stannis, sorry Melisandre). I was stunned on how good the story is composed for this episode, plus the scene “hold the door” well, who can hold their tears there.
Season 6 Episode 9 – Battle of the Bastards
This is it, another episode which viewer love to see and replay the moment. Justice prevail and the wolf emblem is in Westeros once again. This episode focuses on two large story lines, In the far overseas south Daenarys reclaim Meereen from the Master Slaves with all of her three dragons. And deep in the cold north of Jon Snow and Sansa were able to gather their loyal troops to reclaim Winterfell from Ramsay Bolton’s camp. Westeros struggled to reclaim the home of his ancestors. The merciless match pitted the alliance between Jon Snow and the loyalist from Stark embracing Ramsay Bolton’s psychopath army. In this season, Game of Thrones greatly describes the horrors of the war.
Season 6 Episode 10 – The Winds of Winter
Game of Thrones is popular with the tagline “Winter is Coming” it, on this episode it is officially declared that Winter has arrived. This episode is amazing. Fans are familiar with the Game of Thrones features that almost always put the best episode in Episode 9 in each season. But surprisingly the euphoria of the recapture of Winterfell in the warmth of 9th Season 6 episode, the 10th episode was able to wrap and add all the surprises in an episode of 69 minutes with great satisfaction. Too many surprises. It’s hard to tell one by one.
Season 7 Episode 3 – The Queen’s Justice
What I love in this episode is that everything that the viewers expected is happening here, except the part where Tyrion’s tactics is read perfectly and anticipated by Jamie perfectly. Another thing is flow smoothly toward the flow of the story, Jon Snow finally meet the Mother of Dragon, Bran finally reach Winterfell and the moment shared between of Olenna and Jamie which is super duper great. The moment of truth before she took the poison is one of the moment throughout the series.
Season 7 Episode 4 – The Spoils of War
This is the most exciting episode of GOT on this season, it got everything you need, Dragon check, Arya finally meet Sansa check, Bran freak Littlefinger check, and finally Jon Snow shows the painting inside the cave. I love how the Dothraki is being film in this episode, the cinematograpy during the battle is great and the burning of the Lannister Army is one great view to see. Fantastic and Epic episode.
Season 7 Episode 6 – Beyond the Wall
One point of view to see in here is the trust that are build between many characters of GoT. Dany started to trust Jon Snow, Sansa that are confronted by Arya or the trust between the group that went beyond the wall to catch a wight in order to show Cersei and mediate a truce between them. Of course the climax of the episode is when one of the Dragon is killed by the spear of the Night King. It’s heartbreaking in a way but necessary to increase the tension provide for the last episode.
Season 7 Episode 7 – The Dragon and the Wolf
TBH I feel that the betrayal gonna come from Cersei’s side of the truce, she is kinda betrayal type of Queen and the psychopath one, the act of betrayal that she shows in this episode kinda fully erect her status as the ultimate antagonist in the series, which is good in the point of view of story plot. The trial of Lord Baelish is also one to see, even though it’s a little too weak for the impact. The winter is already here, and the attack is commencing. Dragon with blue flames is here.
