KMazing – BIGBANG will finally be making its long-awaited return to the music stage after a four-year absence, according to South Korea’s leading entertainment agency, YG Entertainment. At the same time, they also announced that one of its founding members, T.O.P, had annulled the agency’s contract.

BIGBANG Comeback Schedule

According to several entertainment news portals, YG Entertainment officially confirmed today, Monday (7/2), that BIGBANG will release a new single this spring.

“BIGBANG will be releasing a new song this spring. [BIGBANG] has already completed recording their new song, and they are currently preparing to shoot the music video.” – YG Entertainment

However, this isn’t the only important information being communicated by the company. T.O.P, who has been with YG Entertainment for 16 years, has revealed that he would be leaving the company.

T.O.P’s contract has expired, according to the agency. The rapper whose real name is Choi Seung Hyun has chosen to confront new obstacles as an artist and entrepreneur without the aid of YG Entertainment.

“T.O.P’s exclusive contract with YG has ended, and he will be taking on a wide variety of new challenges as both an artist and an entrepreneur. We respected T.O.P’s desire to broaden the scope of his individual activities aside from just his promotions with BIGBANG, and he successfully came to an agreement about this with the other members. As long as the conditions are right, [T.O.P] will always participate in BIGBANG’s activities whenever he is able.” – YG Entertainment

T.O.P will continue to be a member of BIGBANG and will engage in group events as long as his schedule is not conflicted. The comeback news of the group is a long-overdue moment for V.I.P who has been waiting since Flower Road was released in 2018.
