As already stated by SBS that Running Man, one of the most popular variety show is revamping member by adding Yang Se Chan and Jun So Min and trying new concepts with the new tag “Running Mates”. The reception from fans over the globe on this new concept and member varies from the disappointment of 7012 slogans to supporting from better rating for Running Man. The change has to be done as soon as possible because according to Nielsen Korea the first part of the April 9 episode of “Running Man” recorded 2.8 percent, while the second half recorded 3.4 percent, for the record this is the worst ever rating that Running Man got since the show started in 2010.

The producers are trying to revive the popularity of the show by adding new member which will make their appearance on the latest episode of Running Man (episode 346).  The member of Running Man is set to split into three teams in Jeju Island, Taiwan and Osaka, Japan. A representative of SBS confirmed that comedian Jang Do Yeon would be appearing as a guest in the episode, and would be joining Lee Kwang Soo and Kim Jong Kook in Jeju Island. Song Ji Hyo, Haha, and new member Yang Se Chan headed to Taiwan while Yoo Jae Suk, Ji Suk Jin and Jeon So Min completed missions in a one-day trip to Osaka, Japan.

During the latest episode of Running Man where the new member is having a welcoming and presented to the viewer, Yang Se Chan revealed that it was Kim Jong Kook is the one who personally recommend him to be on the show. Kim Jong Kook in his own word said that he likes Yang Se Chan interaction with the members and used all the strength he got to cast him to be on the show.
